Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for a long time. Alexandra is known for the roles she played on Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole children of Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into showbiz early and landed up acting in lead roles on various TV dramas before she was sixteen. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge on Downfall. The film was nominated for an Oscar and won critical and commercial popularity. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also Oscar-nominated. Alexandra worked on several important international and national projects throughout her career. These comprise British biographical films like Control and The Dust of Time as along with the French historical miniseries Napoleon. Her other roles include being an official jury member for both and the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
